How is hair color and piercings in any way relevant?

You say you got a wake up call the last couple decades, well, I don't mean any disrespect, but I suspect you need another one.

You really believe a large number of teachers have an agenda to "trans" second graders all over the United States? Really? They don't. Do you know any K-3 teachers? You should talk to a couple. That's not what they are teaching. Go see for yourself, and please talk to friends with kids in those grades. Most kids LOVE their teachers at that age. School at that age is fun. Those teachers love those kids like their own.

And I'm sorry to have to say, Christians do it to themselves by preaching the gospel to the rest of us but ignoring it when it comes to their own personal failings. Also, I haven't taken the Church seriously since they began paying off people to keep their mouths shut, while they moved pedo priests around so they could do it again.

The Church doesn't have a moral standing to tell me how I should conduct myself. I'm doing fine without them. I understand morals without the guilt of sin lurking around every corner.

The Church doesn't have a moral standing to tell me how I should conduct myself.

That thing called morals and character should not have to be taught .
That should be innate in everyone.
Don't tell me you don't have those characteristics and disdain religion for the attempt .
Shhh... almost all religions teach those .
Not just Christianity .

I thought that was Catholics?

I'm honestly unsure whether or not Catholics are Christians. I just tried quickly looking it up but I still don't know. Seems like that answer is split down the middle.

To me, anyone who has faith in Jesus Christ and his Salvation qualifies as Christian no matter the dogma they have to walk through to reach it.

That's basically what I thought too but I wasn't sure. Then I searched it and saw many results saying, "Catholics aren't Christians".

But yeah, it should just be the 'Christ' part.

I wonder what kind of disfunction is occurring at home that some purple-haired loser in a nose ring can so easily convince your six-year-old to do something that you don't want them to do?

Maybe that is the biggest problem here; so many houses holds are so dysfunctional that strangers have more sway over their children then they do.

Ever met a 6 year old? they are still developing the base that will carry them through life, and many homes over the years have tried to teach the children to listen to and respect teachers.

Should the parents have paid closer attentions to the changes in their child sure, but maybe the schools shouldnt be letting teachers teach sex change information in a school classroom also.

Sure I have two children of that age .... I have absolutely no fear that a "purple-haired loser" is going to have more influence over them then me or my wife.

It doesn't really matter what the schools are teaching them. I regularly have conversations with my children relating to the differences between our beliefs and the schools beliefs. And I still demand my children respect their teachers even if we disagree with them. My children understand that disagreement and disrespect are two very different things.

Its odd to me that so many worry that their children are going to be turned against them.

The sticking point for many is whether or not the Catholic practice of venerating Mary and the saints verges into idolatry. There is also the matter of the Pope who claims to be the living intermediary between the people and God as though simply knowing Christ were not enough which it is.

I'm sure that there are many who get caught up in the dogma and go the wrong way with it, but the same could be said for the dogma of any sect. Getting caught up in legalism - dogma - was the stumbling block of the Pharisees as well.

I'm a natural Christian, no church affiliation. I have gay friends and relatives. When I worked at a local international corporate organization with government contracts on a restricted property, I found the only black guys on my shift to be great company on break. Another guy I gave a ride to the job, turned out to be a pedo, damn though, I liked him and was concerned when he disappeared. Turns out he went to jail for CSC with a minor.

If anything the government or the progressive left has to fear from me, it isn't my Christian beliefs, it's my lack of fear in the face of death, anyone's including mine. I would be merciless and unconcerned for my life, physical or spiritual, in an eye for an eye situation.

I've turned the other cheek and paid with a broken body on a few occasions. Try it now and see who ends up in a hospital or morgue.

You don't get it.

As parents, we're told it's our job to do what we can to support the teachers. We tell our kids to respect their teachers like they would us so that our kids listen, behave, respect and, hopefully, learn. What are supposed to do? Try to tell our kids all the different gradations of what they should and should not trust at that age? It's hard enough to teach "Stranger Danger".
