Kryvyi Rih, alternate spelling Krivoy Rog

This can't be the first video, they've been there for years haven't they? And of course Russia has personnel in Ukraine too so I wouldn't get too excited over this.

Has anyone ever heard of advisers and trainers? We do it all the time as does Russia and China etc. How else are they going to learn how to use all the high tech we send them. I know of about 50 Ukrainians in Poland right now learning to fly drones, as example.

It doesn’t matter anymore.

Trainers aren’t participants, just trainers. We have trainers all over the world. Considering the weaponry we have sent, it’s not that surprising. I didn’t watch the video but not likely to know the date, so could have been before the actual invasion. Russia is in no position to fight a world war against anybody, and the way things are going they need to worry about civil war as the natives are getting restless

There isn't even any evidence that a U.S. trainer is there though, just a russian claim.

Same as the 3 star general in Marioupol.

He has no rank. I’d say he’s a civilian, wearing US Army fatigues, also the Cover (Hat), and the patches. Give aways. He’s a Poser.

He's not US Army.

He's just American.

This guy is apparently from the California National Guard. They have been involved in training Ukrainians for several years.

A similar 'Lopez' has also appeared in previously debunked russian propaganda videos, but I'm not 100% it's the same 'Lopez'.

could very well be contractors, just because someone is wearing bdu's with patches on them that only a name and U.S. flag can be seen clearly does not mean their U.S, troops.

it is well known that Ukraine has asked for help from contractors and people to join the Foreign Legion.

for their International Legion,

Receive instructions on how to arrive in Ukraine and what to bring. Military clothing, equipment, helmet, body armor, combat gloves, tactical glasses, belts and vests are recommended. “It is not obligatory,” the official said, “but a foreign soldier in his national uniform looks good for the International Legion.”

Want to go fight for Ukraine? Here’s what to do.

And, insiders say, demand is growing. Amid a gut-wrenching war in Ukraine, US and European private contractors say they are increasingly eying opportunities, ranging from 'extraction' missions to helping with logistics. There is "a frenzy in the market" for private contractors in Ukraine today, said Robert Young Pelton, a Canadian American author and expert on private military companies (PMCs).

Private military firms see demand in Ukraine war

then there's this,

“In this case [Ukraine], the troop constraint is zero,” Cancian says. President Clinton set the stage for employing contractors for training in the modern era in Bosnia. The historical background suggests it’s very possible that American contractors are now, and have been, providing training on the border of and inside Ukraine.

“If you wanted to have a training team for M777 [155 mm] howitzers, DynCorp, KBR KBR +1.1% [Kellog, Brown & Root], any of those companies would be happy to put that team together for you. They can do it as they have in Iraq, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.”

What gets me the most is the video warriors on ATS. They show a video of this guy and the title is AMERICANS are in Ukraine fighting!!! or something along those lines. Same thing as PROOF that Ukraine is all Nazis is a video of one guy saying he is a Nazi while if someone actually watch the whole damn thing his group actually said that they know his beliefs, but it is just him, and they don't get involved because he is a good soldier.

People rely too much on grabbing anything they can to fit their narrative even if the video actually proves them wrong, but its 15 seconds of the video is all they are looking for.

Bingo...Reason I know is because we are training Ukrainians to fly drones with civilians... Actually good ones... With laser designators, you can't see or hear them to shoot them down... have fun Putin...

They're not called 'fatigues' any more so far as I recall. They were already "BDUs" in my time, probably a new name by now. "Fatigues" went by the wayside with the OD uniform of the 1950s-1970s.

And yeah, that guy isn't in the U.S. Army. Don't blame him for wearing cammies, though.

Cheers

I was trying to be formal, they are called OCP’s the Army used call the grey asinine ones ACU’s. If you could zoom in on that patch, it doesn’t look like an Army unit I’ve ever seen. Round patches are not seen that often.
