I was just thinking about how ancient people navigated, without a sextant and tables, then remembered an old mate who once said why didn't they triangulate between the Magnetic pole and the geographic pole. Which led me to check on the stability of the magnetic pole. Then came across this guy who has been monitoring its movement for a few years now, which led me to think It might have worked but the rate of shift is now getting where you would need an update just about every week to locate its position with any certainty to do the triangulation. So getting to the point, he set up an experiment and found when the magnetic pole migrates to forty degrees, the point where the weaker field lines start on the globe, in the experiment the pole flips quickly until it settles down in its reversed position. He maintains that at the present rate of migration the pole should flip in fourteen months. This means for a few weeks the cosmic rays will pour through and affect the Borealis, that's north and south, the heart arrhythmias and cancers should increase, along with lights and sky displays which have never been seen before by modern man on Earth
Since nobody has ever experienced such a thing, one might ask what side effects could we be looking at, and do the governments have a far better idea of the consequences than us mear mortals. In my estimation the annual migratory pattern of various species could well be affected, Cosmic ray holes, satellite communications, electrical grid problems, GPS I could go on, but have a look at this.

You're heading towards understanding…..maybe.
Look at where the South Magnetic Pole is forecast to go.
Three data buoys were removed along with all their data.
Gone, poof.
Imagine the governments hiding a sea floor rise of over 1000 meters, well over.
The clues are out there.
Focus North of Australia…..

Have fun!!!

You also have to ask would a preamble to a magnetic reversal screw up human judgment and decisions?

It is certainly a fascinating topic and one that I have looked at many many times in the past.

One key point that isn't made in the video, that I noticed anyway, is the magnetic field strength. When viewed in a historical context the magnetic field strength is diminishing with some pace. It is currently as strong as it was about 4500 years ago and weakening rapidly.

Some Very Useful Information Here

One of the key impacts, I think, will be how the cosmic radiation interacts with our upper atmosphere. We know that cosmic rays are the foundational building block for cloud creation and as our magnetic field weakens we can reasonable assume more cosmic rays and subsequently more clouds and less solar radiation. Of course adding to that a very weak solar cycle that we are currently in and we have a double whammy of potential increase in cosmic radiation.

So 10 months from now...March 2023.

I'm going to put it on my calendar. I like to keep track of my potential calamities.

Honestly, it's as good a theory as any. I remain thoroughly baffled by the last 2 years. They all obviously know something the rest of us don't.

I too have set a reminder. Best theory running. Explains governments testing control mechanisms. Explains the transfers of wealth and land. Explains grabs for power and land. Explains strange weather patterns. Explains the apathy that world leaders seem to have.

Someone put Elon on the case. lol

So if the new pole end up around Australia….would the new equator be say… run someplace through the middle of Canada? Asking for a friend….

The rotation poles and equator will not change. The magnetic poles are moving slowly and are weakening.

Magnetic pole shifts have no correlation with major extinction events when comparing to the fossil record for those periods.

As for satellites, electronics and power grids, could well plummet society into a new dark age. Also, i'd stock up on sunblock.

All joking aside this is a very real threat, although i don't think we would see any great geological change, the 1000 ft waves and people being fried by the sun are nothing more than doom porn.

If that was the case you'd have billionaires clamouring to get off planet and setup comfortable living conditions elsewhere. Oh Sh!t.

You have to consider that our fossil records only describe a general narrative and are grossly incomplete.

Given what we know about our current flora and fauna, there is no doubt a pole shift would be greatly disruptive.

But I agree about your doom porn examples. It's far more likely the hell we might face would play out over a period of years.

That's been happening and studied for over a decade now, and has been increasing year after year.

I think Mother Nature is about to start fighting back with a vengeance.....

How common is it those move?

If it's just data I would imagine it's not a big deal, but do they not have any navigational significance?

I'd think that if they had navigational significance then removing them wouldn't be a minor thing.

Anyway, I took your bait fisherman. Now you need to start reeling me in. I want to know more.

It would seem to me there is a wide discrepancy between a casual shift and a calamitous one. That said it does explain some of the actions our governments are taking potentially.

I have limited knowledge in his area but mostly agree with this viewpoint below and enjoyed this article for a more basic look at what could be in store if this were to occur.

If we went bugchit over COVID and the world did, it will likely go coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs within a magnetic pole shift.

What is remarkable is that the magnetic field generated by such violent internal convulsions is relatively stable 99.9 percent of the time. It is the stability of the Earth’s magnetic field, and the reliability of the protection it has provided, that has enabled life on Earth to persist for almost at least 3.8 billion years.

Magnetic reversals do not happen overnight – they take place over thousands of years. No one knows exactly when the next pole reversal may occur. In the past 200 years, the magnetic field has weakened about 9% on a global average. Scientists feel this may not be considered as evidence to an imminent pole reversal.

However, since the forces that generate the magnetic field are constantly changing, the field itself is also in continual flux, its strength waxing and waning over time. This causes the location of Earth’s magnetic north and south poles to gradually shift, and to even completely flip locations every 300,000 years or so.

Paleomagnetic records show that the magnetic poles have reversed 183 times in the last 83 million years. The time intervals between reversals have fluctuated widely, but average about 300,000 years, with the last one taking place about 780,000 years ago.

Based on this data, we can say that the reversal is due now – if it has not started already; but the process of reversal takes about 7,000 years.

Would that not be just as bad? Our "shields" will randomly move and fall and come back and all the while we would be subject to the radiation of the sun. Odd, I read a lot the other night from a user on reddit claiming all these things in detail, several different threads. Is that same person here or are there more ppl who subscribe to this theory?

In the field week in the last solar minimum or where we even able to tell? I was wondering if the magnetic increases the solar maximum that might answer a few questions.

LOL
We have no idea really, if this will be "nothing"

Or a huge "something"

So many people seem to forget, that we have only been around for "so" long, keeping records.

And we don't have any written records of the last time, do we?

I'm in the "something" group.
Fingers crossed.

A shift in the rotation poles would be like the movie '2012', while a shift in the magnet poles would increase radiation exposure. No ocean waves covering the continents. No rapid crust displacements. Just a statical increase in cancer which would very depending on how weak and how long it takes the magnetic poles to switch and stabilize. Technology would take a hit, how bad depends on the same things.

In the video (posted in January, 2022) he says the magnetic pole has 73 miles more to travel before entering the weaker magnetic field and flipping...

It's almost June (so +5 months and the approximate 5 miles per month = additional 25 miles, so now we're roughly 48 miles from that point).

How would anyone, especially one who isn't an expert geologist/mathematician/physicist/etc. know that those last 48 miles are "the trigger", so-to-speak?

Apparently, all the runways use magnetic headings and they have had to keep changing them to keep up, from 1900 to the year 2000 it lost ten percent, and from 2000 until now it lost another ten percent. It appears to be speeding up exponentially, So it's moving fast and weakening fast. Nobody knows what will happen. But I am sure the governments have a lot more information, water is diamagnetic so it isn't inconceivable that, that the increasingly wobbling jetstream with a higher amount of moisture, due to the extra cloud seeding from cosmic rays might be adding to the mix.
