Really. Which part would you like to refute? Viable organs are in short supply, and they don't want to waste them on someone who will likely be exposed to, and die, from covid while their immune system is shut down. There is a long list of other vaccines they have to be current on as well.


That argument would make more sense if they were taking the organ in question from the very limited pool available. However this is a direct transplant. Meaning the organ will not be going to anyone else (in the foreseeable future) other than the patient in question. So where is the harm in allowing the person the right to make their own choices? True they may die, but thats true of almost any invasive procedure (as there is always a chance of unforseen complications happening). However if they accept the risk, what is the harm in allowing her the chance at life?
