What the Biden administration is saying is very clear.

We as a nation are too stupid to think for ourselves. We cannot discern between memes and facts. We are unable to make our own decisions, self-determine, or to live independently.

We have arrived at the nanny-state.

We're here now.

Biden-Obama have this crazy obsession with Facebook.

They thought (and maybe still do) Donald Trump won in 2016 because Facebook carried Russian ads designed to hurt Hillary.

Soft tyranny is an idea first developed by Alexis de Tocqueville in his 1835 work titled Democracy in America. It is described as the individualist preference for equality and its pleasures, requiring the state – as a tyrant majority or a benevolent authority – to step in and adjudicate.

Is the reason we don’t have a nationalized government provided network is because of free speech? Better to have crony capitalism, and let big tech your in league with push your narrative? And be rewarded for censorship?

Meanwhile the same Biden admin goes around telling other countries "But you guys you dont have freedom of speech" yet what Biden admin is trying to do is no different from a dictatorship country.

How is this any different than when Trump would demand the social media companies do something and then criticize them when they didn't?

If they're exactly the same then this should be a really easy one for you.

Did you support it when Trump did it or do you condemn it when Biden does it? If they're the same thing then, objectively, one of those must be true.

It seems easy enough, but instead of just saying you don't agree with Biden doing it you had to equivocate and deflect onto Trump. Are you able to condemn Biden for doing what you claim is the same thing as Trump did?

Could it be a sleight of hand? Perhaps the government is taking this public "position" against social media, but its private position might be quite different. It's as if they're taking this high ground, placing a superficial onus on untouchable scapegoats.

They are likely threatening facebook (off the record) with a break up of their monopoly if they don't comply with their demands on who they want censored.

Create the communication standard and pretend it's a private company to circumvent the Constitution by controlling free speech.

Real slick guys.

Spot on, people think facecrap is social media, it's obvious what it is, surveillance. There I said it.

The sad part? My ancestors like yours fought 2 WW so that future generations would have freedom. 2021 So many talk 99 genders and toilets and this and that and rainbows and unicorns. So few want to protect the freedoms of future generations as our beloved past did. If we can't protect the future as our Ancestors did then who will?

Yes. It absolutely is a complete farce.
Look up the Lifelog program.
A pilot program ran by darpa.
A program designed to track every aspect of someone's life.

Anyway, congress shut down the program and Facebook was started the same day.

The-same-day

Of course now their are data centers everywherefor, you know, our cat pictures.

It makes me take a look at every single big tech company suspiciously.

Amazon? Cia servers, Aws, alexa, subsidized into existence (from a bookstore in a garage..lol)

Google? Yep probably

"They"built Facebook

This is more fake outrage to pretend that they didn't start the damn thing.
