I do wonder what would have happened if they had refused to authorize the vaccines until they had all been fully tested in the standard manner.

Not directed towards butcher but I can imagine a lot of people screaming and shouting that the vaccine is there but the evil empire are refusing to allow the people access to it.

It was authorized for emergency use by the FDA after passing phase 3 trials. So your post is seriously disingenuous, or maybe you want to show me a vaccine made in the garage that was given without any FDA involvement.

These are the options, tell me which one you prefer.

Go through trials to prove a vaccine for a virus that has killed hundreds of thousands is safe and effective, then make it available to people before it is fully evaluated for approval, but will likely prevent the deaths of hundreds of thousands.

Go through trials to prove a vaccine for a virus that has killed hundreds of thousands is safe and effective, then wait for full evaluation and approval before anyone has access, likely resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands while waiting for a full standard approval.

Bury your head in the sand and say Covid isn't real.

So what I would like is for you to tell me what option you prefer (if you find another option you prefer please lay that one out), and explain to me using numbers and data why the option you prefer would have resulted in fewer deaths than the one that has been chosen.

Well it will be better than the NW where I'm at now.

One of the reasons I live in Alabama, now. The NW isn't what it used to be...unfortunately.

Well I'm retired military and they really do not know what that is either, so move to what fits you the best politically and weather wise. I hate the winters here too...lol

So let's just stop pretending that people with legitimate concerns about the safety of these vaccines are somehow just brainless, anti-science, anti-vaxxer, fear-mongering, partisans.

Seems we have an extremist over here who can think critically and utilize open source information to make an informed decision.

Lulz this is literally how you become targeted by Beijing Bidens Regime.

I'm as confused as ever.

So...one argument is that if I don't take the jab, I'm risking death. The other argument is that if I DO take the jab, I'm risking death.

If I were the head of whatever boogeyman regime is plotting Earth's destruction (for all intents and purposes), would I want to save the people who never comply or those that are easily controlled? Well...I'd assume that keeping controllable people would benefit me more, right?

So then, if this vaccine is about population reduction, wouldn't it make far more sense that the vaccine actually DOES work against whatever 'THEY' have planned?

I'm having trouble making this leap in logic where the vaccine is actually terrible and will kill the portion of the population that will actually HELP 'THEM' take over while leaving the gun carrying anti-vaxxers alive to make war against them??

The only way any of this makes sense is if the people in charge are too stupid for the positions they hold. As much as I hate liberals, I don't feel the top brass is stupid whatsoever....so how can any of this be LOGICALLY explained??

It can't because it's not actually true.

There is no grand conspiracy.

It's a pandemic with several different vaccines that should help and be safe enough to outweigh the limited side effects.

Come back here in five years time and see if any of the doomporn predicted has actually come about.

To be quite honest, moving here was like coming home, in many ways.

I used to fit in the NW, in Eastern Washington and Oregon, but more and more, I didn't--plus I didn't much care for goings on in Olympia. So, the opportunity arose, and I took it.

I just fit here, much like I fit in Alaska when I lived and worked there. Not in Anchorage, which is a, to be blunt, pest hole, but out on the Chain, and the bush.

I could do without the humidity...bleh. But over all, I'm glad I made the move.

They are a massive bureaucracy. There is no more testing outside of after market monitoring, so IDK, but how do you rate 1000 mRNA to 100s of millions in terms of safe or not? You get the vaccine and it puts 1000 mRNA in you, you get the virus and it puts 100s of millions in to you...lol It is about that damn simple...

You get to pick which dice you would like to roll.

For now.

I'd be fine with things if that was all it was. But it isn't.

But the signs of impending jab mandates are not written on every wall and every official tweet from official sources right now.

Anyone who suggests otherwise is either deliberately ignorant, or lying.

Also, anyone who says 'hey, it will still be voluntary, you just won't be able to live your life without it' and is ok with that is a full on raging fascist, whether they admit it or not.

You and I are on the same page here. The stupidity of the states/Fed is they are using the vaccine as their measurement for success, and not both the vaccine for the high risk and everyone else just get it. So it seems people don't want people to get it at all. I think this stems from initially they were suggesting like 5% death rate, and then we F'ed up in many states to see a lot of people die that today would not die, ands we never recalibrated our view of it like the fact it is less lethally to people under the age of 24 than a common flu.
