They're all crawling out of the woodwork now that new Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is pushing Socialist agendas.

So we have popular U.S. Senator Kamala Harris on TV saying she is with it !!

Democrats going totally out of control now that they rampaged over the U.S. House of Representatives !!

Well let's show our support for losing our own freedoms shall we 😀🚬

Kamala is running for President in 2020 (in the U.S. not Cuba) 😆

Kamala Harris Says She’s Open To Ocasio-Cortez’s Socialist Agenda

Call it the Ocasio-Cortez Effect! Just two days after the freshman congresswoman announced on “60 Minutes” that Democrats should soak the rich with a 70 percent marginal tax rate, presidential hopeful Sen. Kamala Harris said on “The View” that she is open to it. Drawing on her experience as a teacher, Harris commended Ocasio-Cortez for “challenging the status quo,” and promised to “explore new ideas.”

Ultimately, the voters are going to have a referendum on whether or not we embrace capitalism or communism.

It's going to come down to those two choices.

Socialism will win because the young seem to be really stupid and embrace free stuff for themselves not knowing the price they will pay later.

True fact.

The stupid following the brain dead.

Most people in this country who "favor socialism" only do so because they were told that socialism isn't much more than a list of freebies and government services.

Then when they find out that it isn't, they say, "Well, what about Democratic Socialism?"

Democratic Socialism is exactly like any other form of socialism. But if you add the word "democratic" somehow it morphs into something good.

Socialism has been tried time and time again. All humanity gets for it is poverty and death.

Translation, it's in the hands of the average fool.

I don't have a good feeling about this. Might be time to write down all the family recipes for dogs and cats in a new book.

Interesting article on AOC from City Journal

Because of the demographic realities of her district where most of the people in it aren't even eligible to vote, she didn't have to win nearly as many votes to get elected as many other Reps do in their own districts.

All congressional districts must have roughly equal population counts (about 711,000 people). But that count includes all residents—including those ineligible to vote, not because they haven’t registered but because they aren’t citizens. Since some districts have more such residents than others, it takes far fewer votes to get elected in some places than in others. In general, districts with low populations of potential voters tend to be Democratic; Democrats represent states, such as New York and California, with high immigrant populations. In practice, this means that many Democratic legislators represent fewer eligible voters than Republican legislators. According to an Axios analysis, the foreign-born population exceeds 20 percent in more than 50 Democratic districts, compared with just 11 such Republican districts.

AOC won her primary with just 16,898 votes. She was able to do that because over half the population of her district are Latino and statistically speaking, Hispanics are the foreign born demographic least likely to be naturalized. So most of her district's people aren't likely able to vote.

She you can think of her as the "wave of the future," but that future got there on the backs of around 18,000 votes from a district where most of the voices cannot legally vote, so we don't know what they really think.

And with the current Republican Party representing capitalism, good luck.

I wonder what the divisive speech is that she talks of how it is separating our country?

Would it be a simple, I disagree with you? That seems to be all it takes to trigger people.

And why do you think all these immigrants want to come to America?
Because we're the land of opportunity right?
Why do you think that is?

It starts with capital and ends in ism.

All I’m saying is that you guys have bigger problems than immigration if the current Republican leadership is the last hope of capitalism.

You guys really screwed the pooch on this one.

Capitalism doesn't rely on a government or government figure to succeed.

You're showing your ignorance.

Edit:
The fact that you think capitalism= Republicans and vice versa says a lot about your knowledge on such things.

That's effing rich for the win.

Socialism IS the same old FAILED ideology.

As a teacher she should be familiar with the failed Soviet State, and modern times Venezuela.

I absolute HATE the ever living hell out of people that push such an asinine ideology.

LOL You guys act like some government programs are going to cause Socialism or Communism. So outraged by a green new deal, healthcare etc.

Where is your outrage over the KGB I mean NSA and the Soviet policies, I mean the patriot act. That's quite a bit closer to communism and socialism.

And why are you outraged by government having a hand in healthcare and green energy, but you are okay if they have their hand in everything else. You can't cherry pick everything. You're picking the wrong things to be outraged over, in my opinion.

This isn't a very cogent argument.

Some places are appropriate for government others are not. There are valid reasons why some wish to exclude healthcare and green energy from government control.
