Is there any thing on Flightaware or other flight trackers that would verify this?

You might try reading the link.

OK
Good night you guys. 0600 comes too quickly and the W.D.C. traffic really really is bad. It took me an hour et a half to get home today due to the revelry r/t the Washington Capitals parade today.

You can't hack into a ship and fire a missile. The system doesn't work that way. And the odds of a Red October scenario are so remote that it's not funny. Great fictional story, little reality.

so do you people believe that they somehow knew there would be a launch so they sent a helicopter in front of the camera?

i do not understand how they could pull this off in your minds

Twas a chopper that tracked through the clouds to give us that cool shot....in the clouds

And the adverse yaw explains the misalignment ....the non linear bit with the airframe of the big chopper and the trail in lights.....winds at 25 knots coming from offshore on a south bound chopper at approx 3500 MSL.....

Mystery solved! The owner of the webcam contacted the operators of the helicopter in regards to the lights that the helicopter was running on. They were operating on night vision goggles and the searchlight was on and pointing straight down.

"They were transiting from Bremerton to Bellingham on a standard instrument flight plan, flying in the clouds with night vision goggles. The search light was retracted flush under the nose, but did not switch off and was facing straight down."
