Try living on 24 hours a week at a low wage.

When someone agrees to give wage increases ,such as Cosco, it simply means they give them less hours . Anyone who has worked for a retail outlet will tell you that a living wage is not possible, no matter the hourly rate. The more they pay the less they will work you. It does not take a genius to know that workers comp payments are substantially less for part time workers. So in order to stay at minimum comp payments they must restrict yearly income. So in effect they offer higher wages with less hours and hire more people.
Is it me or hasn't the rest of an educated society figured this out yet?

I've seen it in action. Plenty of workers so companies can give less.

Useless spin. Costco always paid well. But thanks for the fluff.

rofl that's hilarious, tell that to the trade unions who want to start people off at 14 an hour thinking it's great money while the slave labor does all the back breaking work hah

Best way to keep Unions out is to take care of your people, so they do not feel the need to use a Union.

well when you sub contract you just won't work for less than what you bid for

some jobs just charge per day if you don't know the totality of the labor

it's not safe, no benefits, get to make a little more money here and there and self manage, lot more risk involved and it's kind of a harder road but you don't have to deal with the union bull# and them stealing half of your money to fund the operation that's about to go belly up
